How do i get rid of the 'blank page' which keeps coming up when i try to close a program o

It hasnt always done this but now every time i go on the internet and close the web page i'm on a blank page comes up, then a box comes up saying internet explorer has to close then do I want to send an error report? its annoying me now as i have to keep restarting it. Just now cos Ive tried to buy something and it wouldnt let me. This stupid 'blank page' came up so now its stopping me buying stuff as well. Somebody please help!!thanx

i have no idea. only thought is it may be a virus. try scanning your pc fully. if not use microsoft support and faq. thats all i can think.
