Why does my Internet Explorer browser often crash when...?

Why does my Internet Explorer browser often crash when I have opened and closed a PDF file (or other extension file) in it?

- The Windows XP error report doesn't include any useful information on the error cause

- I have all the latest service packs.

- PDF files work just fine outside IE.

- The crash doesn't occur until the file has been both opened and closed. At that point, all other open IE windows become non-responsive and I must terminate the application.

Just get a mac, there much better and you won't have that problem.
