Problem with internet explorer?

I have this strange problem with internet explorer version 6.0

Even when i'm not using the net, popus keep coming about various ads.

Also, I am not able to log into anything. Rediff, yahoo or any other site. Whenever i type in my username and password and click submit, there is a popup saying that IE has to close due to some technical error. This happens only when I log into something.

Personally, I think IE sucks, but it is the only browser my office provides. Please help

You have been hijacked with spyware or malware. You can try running the latest free version of SpyBot (http://www.safer-networking.org) or Adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaw... to try and remove it. You may need to remove it manually with a tool like HijackThis.

it sounds like you have spyware/adware. download spybot search and destroy and remove anything that it finds.
Try to see if you can download a Spyware program like Ad-Aware. Pop-ups are often caused by adware, programs that download as part of another program, usually freeware. This should at least help with the pop-ups, as far as the crashes, IE may have been corrupted. Re-installing will not clear out the pop-ups. There are programs like the Yahoo!, AOL, and Google Toolbars that have pop-up blockers. they do a good job, but are not perfect. Hope this helps.
Malware, and you've just become another statistic. Only way you're getting rid of the pop ups is to get rid of the malware. Talk to your boss about spyware removal software. System Mechanic, or Windows Defender (its free), or something along that line.
